Azul Completes Certification with Oracle
Mountain View, Calif. – 29 June, 2006 – Azul Systems, Inc., the pioneer of the industry’s first network attached processing solution, today announced that Oracle has certified the Azul Compute Appliance, running the Azul Virtual Machine as a supported platform, with Oracle® Application Server 10g, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware. The certification provides enhanced scalability to applications and added confidence to mutual customers running Oracle Application Server 10g on the Azul platform.
Oracle Application Server 10g, the foundation for developing, integrating, and deploying enterprise applications, portals, and Web Services, is the only platform designed for grid computing as well as full lifecycle support for service-oriented architectures (SOA). Network attached processing from Azul is made possible via Azul Compute Appliances, which contain up to sixteen 24-core 64-bit Vega processors and up to 256GB of memory that create massive pools of compute power shared dynamically across multiple applications. Azul allows customers to scale their infrastructures more reliably and predictably, while reducing the number of servers needed to support their growing workloads. The use of Oracle Application Server 10g and network attached processing helps enhance performance, adaptability, and ROI while creating a scalable infrastructure for running today’s most sophisticated Java-based applications.
