Mountain View, Calif. – June 14, 2007 – Azul Systems, the award-winning innovator behind server appliances that deliver compute and memory resources as a shared network service, today announced certification of the JBoss Application Server 4.2 on the Azul Compute Appliance. The joint solution is being deployed by CitiStreet to drive down the total cost of ownership (TCO) for the company’s data center as it expands for large Java-based deployments.

Virtual machine environments represent the dominant model for today's business application development. Gartner estimates that 50 percent of all new business applications are being developed to such platforms today, a figure that will reach 80 percent by 2008. As customers increasingly adopt Azul Compute Appliance for this type of architecture, they can further extend their deployment cost-effectively with the open source JBoss Application Server within enterprise data centers.
