Azul Systems, Inc. has Opened UK Operations to Address the Demand for Network Attached Processing in the European Market.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California and SLOUGH, Berkshire, UK – October 17, 2005 –Azul Systems® Inc. , the pioneer of the industry's first network attached processing solution designed to unbound compute resources for service-oriented applications such as those based on the J2EE™ or Java™ platform, has opened UK operations to address the demand for network attached processing in the European market. As part of its initiative, Azul has opened a dedicated test centre, expanded its UK service and sales team and extended its agreement with IBM Global Services to provide mission-critical support services. Worldwide demand for network attached processing solutions will be fuelled by customers' need to reduce transaction costs to improve margins and increase application throughput to realise new revenue opportunities.
"Azul Systems is entering its next growth phase as it systematically builds its worldwide market presence," said Stephen DeWitt, president and chief executive officer of Azul Systems. "Customers around the globe have reached a point where the benefits of technology can be outweighed by its cost and complexity. Azul Systems has a solution. One that is simple to deploy yet profound in its benefits, and it will change the way we think about computing."
The steady growth of web services and service-oriented architectures (SOA) has led to a fundamental change in the manner in which applications are developed today. Gartner estimates that by 2008, more than 80% of all new eBusiness applications will be developed based on modern virtualized platforms such as the Java™ platform or the Microsoft .Net framework*. Azul is the industry's only network attached processing solution created specifically to help drive the creation and efficient deployment of those applications.
"The UK market is ripe for network attached processing as the importance of online services continues to increase for organizations of all types," said Syed Rizvi, UK managing director, Azul Systems. "Certification from strong partners such as BEA and JBoss, mission-critical services provided by IBM Global Services, a no-cost technical evaluation program, and blue-chip investors, make network attached processing from Azul Systems an unbeatable proposition for IT organizations."
The Azul UK headquarters are in Slough, Berkshire. The company plans further expansion into Europe in 2006. To learn more about the Azul Test Center or to contact a sales representative, please contact azuleurope@azulsystems.com.
